This one-of-a-kind sculpting class offers students a rich, hands-on experience in 3-dimensional art along with mixed media art journaling!

Students will explore a range of sculpting techniques and complete 3–4 original sculptures from scratch. Projects may include Giacometti-inspired armatures, free-form wire sculptures, and vibrant alebrije-style papier-mâché creatures—introducing professional-level processes in a fun and approachable way.

To enhance their creations, students will also learn the basics of acrylic painting, colour mixing, and Zentangle design.

The class includes a creative journaling and bookbinding component, where students will document their artistic journey. This reflective practice encourages both creative exploration and personal expression. Hand-made journals will display mixed media techniques like handmade stamps, stencils, Gelli printmaking, collage, and decorative lettering.

Pre-requisite: While previous drawing experience is helpful, all students with an interest in sculpting are welcome!
