Art on Display

A Celebration of Student Art

Our Annual
Student Art Extravaganza

In May each year, the studio transforms into a mini art gallery formally showcasing the beautiful works of art created by our talented students. This event celebrates their hard work and creativity, featuring both individual and collaborative showpieces, as well as student sketchbooks.

Gallery Wall of Inspiration

Throughout the year (during our weekly programs and summer camps), artwork is displayed on the studio walls to honour student’s artistic and creative development, provide inspiration, and add beauty to the studio. This practice reinforces the belief that all art is worthy of being showcased.

An Invitation to Exhibit

In June 2024,

our students were invited to participate

in the Mount Peasant Community Art Show

on Neighbor Day.

This event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our student’s artistic talents outside of our studios. Students had a chance to connect with fellow artists and art enthusiasts as their artwork was displayed alongside the works of other talented students. As well, the exhibition was open to the public, offering a great platform to gain exposure and appreciation for the creative endeavors of our students and studio.

FAQS

What Makes Your Teaching Method Unique?

We can teach ANYONE how to draw in as little as a day.

Aliki’s 7-step system is a sequential process of teaching the basic fundamental skills of drawing as a series of steps.  We define concepts and vocabulary, explain the process and demonstrate how to practice techniques succeed while providing feedback along the way.  Our methodology has been refined and proven successful for more than three decades.

One of the best things you can do is encourage your child to use a visual reference when drawing.
Yes, it is definitely possible to learn to be an artist! While some people may have a natural inclination or talent for art, becoming an artist is largely a matter of practice, learning, and developing skills. Talent is optional – interest is an asset! Drawing classes will get one started on an artistic and creative path.
Many children may not show an interest in art simply because they haven’t been exposed to the techniques and skills needed to create. Art education plays a crucial role in developing children’s confidence and abilities. When children are taught specific drawing skills, such as understanding shapes, proportions, and shading, they gain the tools they need to express themselves. This technical knowledge can boost their confidence and encourage them to explore their creativity.
