Teaching the World to Draw Since 1991!

Sculpting Hands: Bringing Art to Life (Age 9+)

Perfect for curious and creative students ready to explore sculpture and take their creativity off the page and into the third dimension.

In this dynamic 5-day camp, students explore the world of sculpture through a range of professional techniques that bring ideas to life. Guided by our experienced instructor, students learn how to build, shape, and construct artwork with depth, structure, and intention.

From creating strong armatures to developing relief and paper-based sculptures, students gain hands-on experience working with a variety of materials while discovering how to think and create in three dimensions.

What Students Will Learn

  1. Build armatures to support and structure sculptures
  2. Create relief sculptures with depth and dimension
  3. Explore paper sculpture techniques such as construction and folding
  4. Work with a variety of sculptural materials and processes
  5. Develop problem-solving skills and spatial awareness

Why This Camp Matters

This is not a craft-based camp. Students gain real sculpting knowledge and techniques while building artistic skill and confidence. Inspired by artists such as Alberto Giacometti, Bill Reid, and Dale Chihuly, students experience how professional artists transform materials into meaningful work.
