Arts Combo: Alebrijes & Art Journals (Age 9+)

Teaching the World to Draw Since 1991!

Arts Combo: Alebrijes & Art Journals (Age 9+)

Perfect for curious artists keen to explore, build, and create across drawing, sculpture, and mixed media in a fun and inspiring environment.

Create your own one-of-a-kind Alebrije—a colourful, imaginary creature inspired by Mexican folk art! Campers will dream up an original creature, sketch their ideas, and learn how to turn recycled and found materials into a unique 3D sculpture.

Throughout the week, artists will design, build, paint, and add creative details to bring their Alebrije to life. They’ll also make a personalized pocket journal to record their ideas, sketches, colour plans, and creative discoveries as their creature takes shape.

This fun, hands-on camp combines drawing, sculpture, painting, and creative storytelling while encouraging imagination, problem-solving, and artistic confidence. Every camper will leave with a vibrant Alebrije sculpture and a journal filled with their creative journey.
