Cyanotype is a simple and fascinating photographic printing process that uses UV light to create beautiful blue-toned prints.
By arranging objects on paper coated with a light-sensitive solution and exposing it to “sunlight”, you will create three to four unique cyanotype images. By the end of the workshop, one of your prints will be transformed into a finished artwork, ready to display.
Cyanotype artists often choose flowers, leaves, and other botanical forms to create their compositions. Glass is another popular choice, as its transparent quality produces a range of blue tones which adds depth and richness to the image. Prepare to be amazed by this magical process!
Supplies are included, but you are welcome to bring small items that you think may create an interesting silhouette.
