This camp is for students looking to enhance their drawing skills by exploring advanced shading techniques and creating three-dimensional effects with various materials.

What Students Will Learn

• understand light, shadow, and value in their drawings

• build artistic confidence through value scales, shadow anatomy, and shading techniques (lines, blending, and more)

• practice seeing the world through an artist’s perspective

• apply professional tips to draw realistically

Materials Explored

Projects include exercises with:

• graphite pencils

• charcoal

• coloured pencils

• oil pastels

This variety allows students to experiment with different textures and effects.

Pre-Requisite

• A solid foundation in basic drawing techniques is recommended, such as the skills learned in the Basics of Drawing Camp, to get the most out of this advanced exploration.
