Art Mindfulness involves self-exploration and awareness of our feelings, thoughts, mind and body. 

Engaging in art-making helps us process and record what is occurring internally for us in the moment, and then reveals to us the next steps by viewing our insights on paper.      

This process helps us express ourselves beyond words. It encourages self-acceptance and really getting to know ourselves. After all how can we like, love or accept someone we don’t actually know?

Students will discover ways to de-stress and learn about themsleves in a supportuve environment.  A new topic will be explored each week, depending on group dynamics, such as getting in touch with feelings, boundaries, how to use art to relax. Class is limited to 6 students in order to create an emotionally safe space. No art experience necessary.

Learn how to de-stress, relax and even learn a bit more about yourself, in a safe and supportive environment. 

Participants will explore + discover getting in touch with how you are feeling using art materials and other modalities such as somatics, (what is your body feeling in the moment), imaging, guided meditations and simply having a conversation. Each modality will vary depending on group dynamics. Our group will be small and intimate so each person will get individualized attention within an emotionally safe environment.

Making art is a direct, embodied and meaningful way to experience mindful qualities in the moment. This includes the tactile qualities of using art materials, perhaps movement, and going back to being playful, something that most adults have long forgotten. Topics may include self discovery, relationships with self and others, dealing with stress, fear/anxiety or depression, being authentic in our day to day lives, finding our purpose, finding our joy and gratitude.
