Introduction to cyanotype

Cyanotype is an easy photographic printing process that uses sunshine to aid in the creation of beautiful blue coloured prints. By arranging items onto paper prepared with a photo emulsion and then exposed to sunlight, you will create 3 or 4 unique cyanotype images. By the end of the workshop, one of your prints will become a completed piece of art ready to display in your home!

Cyanotype artists will often use flowers, leaves, and other plant life forms to create their compositions. Another popular object of choice is glass. Its transparent quality can produce many different tones of blue, which adds a marvelous depth and richness to the image. Prepare to be amazed by this magical process!
